Action required for voicemail users this Winter Break

The university’s telephone infrastructure and voicemail system will be upgraded during Winter Break. ӰƵ is moving to an all-new voicemail system; therefore voicemail users will need to take action.
Before the upgrade
When you receive a voicemail message today, the system archives a copy internally and emails you a copy. After the upgrade, you will have access to the copy in your email but not the archived copy.
Prior to the upgrade, you have the option to retrieve messages that are archived in the current voicemail system. Consult this step-by-step guide for instructions: .
After the upgrade
Your voicemail PIN and prerecorded greeting cannot be transferred to the new system. After the upgrade, you will be prompted to choose a PIN and record a greeting.

Information Technology Services (ITS) will hold informal information sessions about the upgrade in locations across campus. Watch The Daily to learn when a information session will be held near you, or find ITS representatives in the Tinkham Veale University Center atrium between noon and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
This upgrade is phase 1 of a multi-phase initiative called Unified Communications, which will integrate multiple communication systems on campus, such as voice, email and videoconferencing. To find more information, including helpful training resources, visit case.edu/its/uc.
