The Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences—on behalf of ӰƵ—on May 9 accepted the inaugural “Partnership Award” from the at its annual Probation Appreciation Luncheon.
The award, presented by Juvenile Court Administrator Marita Kavalec, recognized the many collaborative projects between the Begun Center and the Juvenile Court. She acknowledged the many staff and faculty from the Begun Center and the Schubert Center for Child Studies who have worked with the court.
“An organization is located in a building somewhere,” Kavalec said, concluding her award presentation, “but it is truly made up of people, and ӰƵ is filled with smart, dedicated, caring people that make our work and our community better.”
