The university community is invited to the Black Graduation Ceremony today (May 18) from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
In its third year, the Black Graduation Ceremony is a pre-commencement celebration to honor students from the African Diaspora who, through determination and academic achievements, have successfully completed their degree programs from ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ.
The ceremony acknowledges the sense of scholarly community among students and honors African and African-American culture and culminates with a Kente Stole presentation, along with receiving the alumni pin.
