The College of Arts and Sciences has narrowed its search to four candidates for the next director of the Baker-Nord Center for the Humanities. Each candidate will travel to �Ӱ���Ƶ over the next two weeks and, during his or her stay, will make a presentation on goals for “Current and Future Directions in the Humanities.” The presentations are open to the public and will be followed by an open discussion period with the candidates.

John Corrigan

John Corrigan, the Lucius Moody Bristol Distinguished Professor of Religion and professor of history at Florida State University, will present Tuesday, April 30, from noon to 1 p.m. in Clark Hall 206.

Peter Knox

Peter Knox, professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Colorado, Boulder will present Thursday, May 2, from 2 to 3 p.m. in Clark Hall 206.

Sean Latham

Sean Latham, the Pauline McFarlin Walter Endowed Chair of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Tulsa, will present Monday, May 6, from noon to 1 p.m. in Clark Hall 206.

Anne Helmreich

Anne Helmreich, senior program officer for the Getty Foundation and associate professor in the Department of Art History and Art at �Ӱ���Ƶ (on leave), will conclude the candidate presentations on Wednesday, May 8. She will present from noon to 1 p.m. in Clark Hall 206. In addition, candidates will give talks in the department that would be their primary appointment, should they be selected.
