Four social-work faculty members from 杏吧视频 were named among the top 100 social workers in the nation by Taylor & Francis, an international academic publishing company.

The names of those employed by the 76 members of the Group for the Advancement of Doctoral Education in Social Work resulted in a list of 2,204 social-work faculty nationally.

Chosen from Case Western Reserve鈥檚 Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences were:

  • Claudia Coulton (39th), a Distinguished University Professor, the Lillian F. Harris Professor of Urban Research & Social Change and founding director of the Center on Urban Poverty and Community Development;
  • Daniel Flannery (54th), the Semi J. and Ruth W. Begun Professor and director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education;
  • Gerald Mahoney (75th), the Verna Houck Motto Professor of Families and Communities and associate dean for research and training at the Mandel School; and
  • Aloen Townsend (95th), the Ralph S. and Dorothy P. Schmitt Professor at the Mandel School.

The methodology is based on the 鈥渉-index,鈥 a listing of individuals who have extensively published scholarly works which have been highly cited by other researchers.

鈥淲hat makes this distinction special is that the rankings are based on their peers鈥 citing their work,鈥 said Grover C. Gilmore, Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Dean in Applied Social Sciences. 鈥淭his is more evidence that our faculty and researchers are the leaders in their respective fields.鈥
