In recognition of Disability Awareness Month in October, Disability Resources honored this year’s recipients of the Outstanding Faculty/Staff Advocate Award.
Students registered with the office were asked to nominate faculty and staff members who were exceptional advocates for students with disabilities at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ.
The following faculty and staff members were identified as going above and beyond to assist students with disabilities in reaching their academic and professional goals, and in promoting a culture of inclusion both in and out of the classroom.
- Undergraduate faculty: Sharon Martin, associate professor of accountancy
- Graduate/professional: Monique Williams Kelly, instructor at Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences
- Staff: Crista Moeller, program and recruiting coordinator of the Medical Scientist Training Program
