CWRUbotix, 杏吧视频鈥檚 premier robotics club, attended the 2022 Marine Advanced Technology Education for Inspiration and Innovation World Championship in June. Competing with its underwater, remotely operated vehicle鈥攖he 鈥淐WRUstacean鈥濃攖he team placed second in the product demonstration and technical documentation categories, and fifth overall out of 20 teams from across the globe.

This was the second time CWRUbotix participated in the competition, having also attended in 2019. This year鈥檚 three-day competition at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California, focused on themes such as ocean exploration, maintaining offshore wind turbines, and aquaculture.

After receiving the competition guidelines in January, CWRUbotix worked hard to build 鈥淐WRUstacean,鈥 designing and manufacturing nearly all components in-house at the Larry Sears and Sally Zlotnick Sears think[box] and testing in Veale Center鈥檚 Donnell Pool.

CWRUbotix, which is sponsored by Case Alumni Association and other supporters, will return to competition in 2023.
