The winners of CWRU Unplugged 2023 are Phi Sigma Rho and House 6 & 7, with 89 points each. As a reward for reducing their energy consumption, every resident in both houses will be receiving a customized tote bag, water bottle and free Mitchell’s ice cream scoop.
The annual energy contest is a competition hosted by the Sustainability Ambassadors in the Office of Energy and Sustainability (OES). Students living in ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ residence halls and Greek houses try to reduce their energy usage over the course of the five-week competition.
Additional points were given to halls whose residents signed a sustainability pledge for reducing waste or attended events hosted by the OES. The main event this year was a trivia night testing students' knowledge on sustainability. Everyone who signed the sustainability pledge was also entered into a raffle for prizes such as an inflatable solar lantern, a bento box and a Mitchell's gift card.
