Fourth-year Ryan Eaton receives the Electronics Division of the American Ceramic Society’s 2025 Lewis C. Hoffman Scholarship award

Ryan Eaton, a fourth-year materials science and engineering student at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ, was recently named the recipient of the 2025 Lewis C. Hoffman Scholarship award, which recognizes an outstanding third or fourth-year student who demonstrates excellence in academics, leadership and research.

Presented by the Electronics Division of the American Ceramic Society, Eaton was selected based on his strong academic performance, extensive extracurricular involvement and a compelling essay on the role of polymer-derived ceramics in advancing additive manufacturing for electronics.

The award was presented to Eaton in September during the Materials Science and Technology 2025 Technical Meeting and Exhibition in Columbus—one of the largest international gatherings in the field of materials science.
