This year's Giving Kids Hope event to benefit and celebrate the Research Institute for Children's Health will take place on Saturday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m at Michael Angelo's Winery.
Now in its eighth year, this annual event will be hosted by Mitchell Drumm, director of the Research Institute for Children’s Health at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ School of Medicine, and emceed by Fox 8 anchor Natalie Herbick and sports personality Andy Baskin.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Northern soul-inspired local artist Abe LaMarca.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Research Institute for Children’s Health, which has a mission of improving the treatment of genetic diseases and disorders through accelerated biomedical research in genetic-based childhood illnesses that still lack effective therapies.
The event will feature an evening of dining, auctions and entertainment.
