Hertz Fellowship information session

Juniors and seniors who are interested in applying to a PhD program in engineering, mathematics, or the physical or biological sciences are invited to an informational session to learn more about the Hertz Fellowship, a graduate fellowship available at more than 40 U.S. research universities, including ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ.

Through the Hertz Fellowship, you can receive:

  • Full-tuition equivalent for up to five years;
  • $34,000 per academic year stipend;
  • Additional stipend if coordinated with other major fellowships;
  • $5,000 annual dependent child care stipend; and
  • Programs and networking offered as part of a lifelong Hertz community.

Successful candidates are:

  • Applying to a PhD program or are in the first year of one;
  • An American citizen or permanent resident;
  • Broadly knowledgeable innovators who see challenges in new ways; and
  • Eager to make a positive impact in the applied physical and biological sciences, mathematics and engineering.

Lee Swanger, a member of the Hertz Foundation Board of Directors and a past Hertz Fellow, will lead two sessions Wednesday, April 26: at 9 a.m. (breakfast provided) and at 12:30 p.m. (lunch provided). Both sessions will be in Nord Hall, Room 356.
