A&E Real Crime: Kevin McMunigal, professor of law, discussed convicted murderer Drew Peterson’s transfer to a federal prison. “The federal government tends to have more resources than a lot of states,” and federal prisons “tend to be less crowded,” he said adding that Peterson might be trying to gain notoriety “by sort of thumbing his nose at the authorities. I’m not sure how luxurious life is (in federal prison).”
