Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ School of Law, is a visiting scholar at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Department of Bioethics in Washington, D.C., during her spring semester sabbatical.
As a visiting scholar, Hoffman is researching and writing about the legal and ethical challenges of cognitive decline among healthcare providers and about privacy and data security. Hoffman, who also is a professor in the bioethics department at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµâ€™s School of Medicine, is participating in all department activities, including teaching, commenting on colleagues’ works in progress, and attending numerous bioethics workshops and seminars.
