Learn how to reserve space for yard signs on campus
Yard signs are a great way to promote campus events, programs, initiatives and announcements at ӰƵ.
To ensure everyone has the opportunity to use this resource—and to keep campus spaces organized—there’s a reservation and approval process in place. Following the steps below will ensure your signs are displayed in the right place at the right time, with the proper approvals to make your promotion a success.
Steps to reserve space for yard signs
Log in and start your reservation:
Sign in to the using your CWRU network ID. Select “Create a Reservation” on the left side of the page, then find “Non-academic Space Requests” and click “Book Now.”
Set your reservation details:
- Enter the start date for when the signs will be placed, then click “Recurrence” to set the end date.
- In the pop-up, use 12:00 a.m. for the start time and 11:30 p.m. for the end time, then apply the recurrence.
- Click “Search” to view available spaces, then select the desired outdoor location by clicking the “+” symbol.
- Enter the number of signs under “Number of Attendees” and select “Outdoor” for the setup type. Click “Add Room.”
Provide event information:
- At the top of the page, select “Create Reservation.”
- On the next page, fill in “Event Name” with the sign’s purpose. Select “Outdoor Signage” under “Event Type.”
- In the “Group Details” section, select your department or organization and fill in your contact information.
- Under “Additional Information,” briefly describe your event.
Agree to terms and submit:
- Review the terms and conditions, check the box to agree, and click “Create Reservation” at the top or bottom of the page to submit your request for approval.
Send your sign for review:
After submitting your reservation, email a copy of the yard sign to Karen Cohen, Campus Planning and Facilities Management events manager. All signs must be approved by Karen Cohen and University Marketing and Communications before installation.
Important Reminders:
- Outdoor sign space is shared—please do not remove other signs. Place yours in between or in the same general area.
- All signs must be removed by the reservation holder by the end date listed in the reservation.
