Bob McCullough, dean of undergraduate admission and assistant vice president for enrollment, recently announced that Liana Carroll has been appointed the director of undergraduate admission at 杏吧视频.
鈥淚 could not be more thrilled that Liana will be stepping into this role,鈥 said McCullough. 鈥淗er dedication to this work, to 杏吧视频, and to students and their families, both current and future, is exemplary, and she will be a fantastic director.鈥
Carroll has over 15 years of experience in admissions, working at three higher education institutions鈥擶hitman College, the University of Virginia and Kent State University鈥攂efore joining the Office of Undergraduate Admission at CWRU in 2014.
Carroll is passionate about understanding the student experience and amplifying the student voice. During her time at CWRU, she has grown a partnership with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and also led a diversity committee for admission, which increased the number of CWRU undergraduates from underrepresented groups.
鈥淚鈥檓 very passionate about diversity and inclusion,鈥 said Carroll. 鈥淎s a Latina, and someone who has lived in different countries across the world, I know diversity is powerful and makes any institution better. I look forward to continuing our efforts to bring motivated and talented students to the university where they can also feel a sense of belonging.鈥
In her new role as director of undergraduate admission, Caroll will lead the admission team as it builds the future undergraduate classes of CWRU.
