University Circle's autumn bell concert series begins this Friday at 12:15-12:45 p.m. Works by Mozart, folk songs, and pieces written just for carillon kick off the season. Bring a lunch and a blanket or lawn chair to the area around the McGaffin Memorial Carillon and Tower. The Historic District of the Mather Quad is among the best places to hear the instrument. Climb the tower afterward to see how a carillon is played. Visit for more information, including concert programs. Free Friday concerts and tower tours continue through Nov. 17th. 2017 concerts are presented with the support of the Leonard Krieger Fund of the Cleveland Foundation.
