CNN: Rong Xu, a professor of biomedical informatics at the School of Medicine, shared new findings from her research highlighting that GLP-1 medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy may help lower the risk of certain cancers. She noted that the findings provide “preliminary evidence of the potential benefit of GLP-1RAs for cancer prevention in high-risk populations and support further preclinical and clinical studies.”
