Midday summer concerts continue through August from University Circle's singing tower, the McGaffin Carillon, on Fridays at 12:15 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m. Free parking in the Church of the Covenant's lot at 11205 Euclid Ave.
- Aug. 4/6: "Christmas in August," with "Jingle Bells," "White Christmas," and other holiday favorites to accompany a summer picnic--snow not provided! (Covenant and University Circle Carillonneur George Leggiero);
- Aug. 11/13: "A European Sampler," with a variety of classical and folk music from the Continent and the British Isles, from Bach's time to ours (guest artist Patrick Macoska);
- Aug. 18/20: National Aviation Day program, from the U.S. Air Force song--"Off We Go Into the Wild Blue Yonder"--to Peter, Paul & Mary's hit "Leavin' On a Jet Plane" and the Shirley Temple classic "On the Good Ship Lollipop" (guest artist David Osburn); and
- Aug. 25/27: selected 18th- and 20th-century carillon music (Leggiero).
