The Radical Student Union will host the second part of the two-part event series on Latinos in America Friday, Nov. 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Tinkham Veale University Center ballroom.
The event will feature a panel discussion focused on the film Harvest of Empire and issues surrounding immigration.
The following individuals will comprise the panel:
- John Flores, the Climo Junior Professor of the College of Arts and Sciences and researcher of Mexican-American history;
- Veronica Dahlberg, founder and executive director of HOLA Ohio and an advocate in northeast Ohio’s Latino immigrant community for more than 20 years; and
- Baldemar Velasquez, president and founder of the Farm Labor Organizing Committee.
