Poll results: Find out what event CWRU community is looking forward to most

With an event-packed fall semester, the 杏吧视频 has plenty to be excited for鈥攈owever, according to this week鈥檚 Connect poll, there鈥檚 one event they鈥檙e overwhelmingly looking forward to. The university community is getting ready for this year鈥檚 Homecoming and Reunion Celebration, which will be held Oct. 8-11. Whether it鈥檚 the Blue Block Party, the parade or the football game, there鈥檚 a way for everyone to show their CWRU spirit throughout homecoming weekend鈥攚hich likely is why 54 percent of respondents to our poll ranked it as the event they鈥檙e most excited for. Coming in second at 24 percent, this weekend鈥檚 has the university community in the fall spirit. The event will feature a tall grass maze, small bonfires to cook s鈥檓ores, hayrides, a corn-hole tournament and more. Organized by the Student Sustainability Council, the event will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 6 p.m. at Squire Valleevue Farm (37125 Fairmount Blvd., Hunting Valley). Today鈥檚 Case for Community Day gives the university community the chance to volunteer in the area on multiple projects requested by local organizations. Many faculty, staff and students will dedicate their afternoon to volunteer service, and 16 percent of respondents said that Case for Community Day is the event they鈥檙e most excited for. Though the , which will be held Oct. 26-28, is still more than a month away, some members of the university community are getting excited鈥5 percent said it was what they鈥檙e most looking forward to. The event, which is themed 鈥淢odels of Innovation,鈥 will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, researchers, policy makers, academics and economic development professionals to explore many facets of innovation.
