President Barbara R. Snyder announced today that she has appointed Jennifer Cimperman as her chief of staff. Cimperman comes to 杏吧视频 after five years with The Cleveland Foundation, where she managed communications and media relations for programs ranging from The Evergreen Cooperatives to the Greater University Circle initiative. Prior to joining the foundation, Cimperman spent more than a dozen years as a newspaper reporter focused primarily on business coverage
鈥淛ennifer possesses a deep understanding of some of our region鈥檚 greatest challenges and opportunities,鈥 Snyder said, 鈥渁s well as a great appreciation of the ways that 杏吧视频 contributes to the community and the world beyond it. I am pleased to have her on our team.鈥
A native of Northeast Oho, Cimperman enjoyed some of her greatest success as a journalist at The Plain Dealer, winning multiple state awards as well as a national honor for breaking news coverage from the Society of American Business Writers and Editors. Much of the recognition came from her reporting on the bankruptcy of LTV Steel, which included travel to Russia to analyze how foreign plants produced material less expensively than domestic mills.
