The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ Clinical Trials Unit is currently enrolling healthy, HIV-negative women and men, ages 18-50, in an HIV prevention vaccine trial. The trial is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.
This trial is not asking whether the vaccines work as HIV prevention – so the people joining the trial do not have to be at risk for HIV infection.
There are two vaccines involved in this placebo-controlled trial. The vaccines are not made from HIV and cannot cause HIV infection.
There are 13 clinic visits in this trial over a 12 month period of time. Vaccinations are given at 4 of the 13 clinic visits.
Compensation is provided. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
