School of Medicine faculty members awarded for collaborative effort with University Hospitals to enhance students' clinical skills

The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) recently acknowledged a collaborative effort by faculty members at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ School of Medicine and University Hospitals by awarding them the 2021 PAEA Partnership Award. Desiree Palumbo, visiting assistant professor and clinical coordinator for the physician assistant program; and Craig Myers, assistant professor and director of clinical curriculum for the physician assistant program; worked alongside University Hospitals leadership team Erin Slay, Casey Kocel and Kathy Day to establish a longitudinal preclinical experience for all CWRU first-year physician assistant students, giving them the opportunity to improve their basic clinical abilities. 

The award was presented at the PAEA’s Educational Forum on Oct. 14.
