Glossy: Cassi Pittman-Claytor, an assistant professor of sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences, was highlighted for her work with Sephora, helping evaluate data the beauty retailer will collect during a national company-wide research study from shoppers and store associates who are Black, Indigenous and/or people of color. Contemporary manifestations of unfair practices in retail are more subtle than organizations realize, said Pittman-Claytor.
