Submit a haiku for chance to win tickets to Cleveland Museum of Art鈥檚 MIX: Mask event

杏吧视频 students are invited to submit a haiku that addresses the theme of masking or disguise for a chance to win two tickets to the Cleveland Museum of Art鈥檚 Mardi Gras-themed MIX event Friday, Feb. 5. Every month, MIX features different art projects, demonstrations and performances. This month, CMA has partnered with the Cleveland Humanities Collaborative and Voices from the Village, a year-long program that originated at Tri-C, to explore various themes related to the human experience. This year鈥檚 Voices from the Village theme is 鈥淏ehind the Mask,鈥 which was inspired by the Paul Laurence Dunbar poem We Wear the Mask. Mardis Gras, or 鈥淔at Tuesday,鈥 originated as a celebration of feasting and revelry taking place the day before the start of the penitential and fasting Lenten season for Catholics. On Mardi Gras, people wore masks to hide their identities, allowing individuals from all walks of life to celebrate together. Haikus must be emailed to amm203@case.edu by Tuesday, Feb. 2. MIX is an 18-and-over event.
