For the first time, actors are taking the stage in the , part of the Phase II expansion of the university’s Maltz Performing Arts Center. The space, , offers unique opportunities for performing artists at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ to shape their crafts, from costume and scene shops to rehearsal spaces and more.
The first production to take to the new stage is Arcadia, a Tony-, Olivier- and Drama Desk-winning comedy written by Tom Stoppard. Directed by Professor Jerrold Scott, the production features faculty member Christopher Bohan as Bernard, alumna Katie O. Solomon as Hannah, double-alum TJ Gainley as Septimus and alumna Natalie El Dabh as Lady Croom in addition to several student roles.
Three performances remain:
- Friday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 13, at 7:30 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 14, at 3 p.m.
