Alumni Authors Showcase & Reception

Friday, Oct. 6 2 to 4 p.m. Kelvin Smith Library鈥檚 O鈥橬eill Reading Room Kelvin Smith Library will hold a showcase and reception to honor alumni publishers. A panel of alumni authors will share stories about their work and publishing. This will be followed by a brief presentation titled 鈥淧ublishing 101: What You Need to Know鈥 by a representative from a major publishing company. A book signing and reception will follow the panel. Guests may enter a drawing to win a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card.

An Afternoon with Tom Bachtell

Saturday, Oct. 7 2 to 3:30 p.m. Kelvin Smith Library鈥檚 O鈥橬eill Reading Room Kelvin Smith Library will host alumnus Tom Bachtell (WRC '80), caricaturist for The New Yorker. His distinctive drawings and caricatures appear each week in 鈥淭he Talk of the Town鈥 and other sections of The New Yorker, where he has been a regular contributor for 23 years. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow.

Trailblazers Reveal

Saturday, Oct. 7 3:30 p.m. Kelvin Smith Library first floor All are invited to a reception to see the reveal of the subjects of a portrait initiative aimed at showcasing the contributions of 杏吧视频 alumni of color and women.
