The Tamir Rice Foundation is looking for volunteers to help tend to Tamir's memorial garden. In 2015, the memorial garden for Tamir Rice (a local 12-year-old boy who was killed by a police officer) was collaboratively designed and built by Tamir’s family, classmates, teachers, and extended community. The Foundation is turning the location where Tamir died into a positive space for the community who still uses the park. In preparation for a new memorial addition coming in the next year, volunteers will be doing a "Spring clean" of the outdoor space on Thursdays, April 25 and May 2, from 5-7 pm in Cudell Park, 1910 West Boulevard in Cleveland.
