The ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ School of Medicine and University Hospitals (UH) are represented in the STAT Madness Competition, a bracket-style contest for biomedical research.
A total of 64 institutions/studies were chosen for the competition.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ’s and UH's project leverages continuous remote home monitoring with ICU-level technology, coupled with therapy—which could open up a new way to keep people healthy at home rather than in a hospital. The approach offers a potential solution for hospitals saddled with soaring costs and escalating nurse vacancy rates.
ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ and UH face off in the first round against Vanderbilt University.
