Rick Bischoff

Rick Bischoff has served as Vice President for Enrollment Management at ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ since November 2009. In this role, he oversees a comprehensive portfolio that includes undergraduate admission, financial aid, enrollment operations, strategic enrollment marketing, and new student orientation.

Under Rick’s leadership, ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ has seen remarkable growth in student interest and enrollment. First-year applications have increased by more than 300% since 2009, and undergraduate enrollment has grown by over 50%. At the same time, the academic profile of incoming students has continued to rise, reflecting both increased selectivity and broader reach.

Before joining ÐÓ°ÉÊÓÆµ, Rick was Director of Admissions at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) from 2004 to 2009. During his tenure, Caltech saw a 60% increase in applications and achieved record enrollments across many key enrollment priorities. He has also held senior admissions roles at the University of Chicago and Macalester College.

A recognized leader in the field, Rick is a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences, where he speaks on enrollment trends, the strategic use of data and technology, and the evolving landscape of college admissions. He also regularly visits high schools across the country to speak with students and families about the college search process, selective admissions, and application strategy.

Rick earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Macalester College and an MBA in Information Systems from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
