Dean Kenneth B. Chance, DDS Endowed Distinguished Lectureship

Dr. Barbara Ross-Lee, the first African-American woman dean of a U.S. medical school, advocates for health equity, diversity in medicine, impactful policy and meaningful change. Lunch will follow.

Friday, Oct. 10

Welcome Back Breakfast
Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion | 8:00 a.m.
Reconnect with classmates over breakfast at 8 a.m., then join the Alumni Association meeting at 9 a.m. to hear about their latest initiatives.

CWRU Alumni Awards Luncheon

Enjoy lunch with other dental alumni as President Eric W. Kaler shares the state of the University. 

Highlight Tour of the Cleveland Museum of Art

Gather for small docent-led tours of the latest exhibits.

School of Dental Medicine Welcome Reception
Museum of Natural History | 6 p.m.
Catch up with your classmates and enjoy exhibits, live music, cocktails, and heavy appetizers. Shuttle service to this event will be provided to and from the InterContinental Hotel at 9801 Carnegie Ave.

Saturday, Oct. 11

School of Dental Medicine Technology Tour and Breakfast 
Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion | 8:00 a.m.
Grab breakfast before taking this interactive tour of our HoloLens classroom, simulation clinics, and the dental clinic.  

Health Sciences Collaborative: The Role of Healthcare Providers in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion, Room 176 | 11 a.m.
Listen to a panel of alumni and experts from the Schools of Dental Medicine, Medicine, and Nursing share insights about how AI is emerging in healthcare and the ways it could impact providers—CE credit. Lunch will follow.

Pediatric Dentistry Symposium
Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion| 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Breakfast at 8 a.m.) | $225
Symposium will feature three two-hour sessions, each with a different presenter, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Breakfast (8 a.m.) and lunch are included.

Participants must register for all CWRU activities so the university can plan for attendance accordingly. .
 

Helpful Information

A courtesy room block has been arranged for dental alumni at the InterContinental Hotel at 9801 Carnegie Ave.

There will be shuttle service available throughout the weekend to and from the main campus and the Health Education campus as well as the InterContinental Hotel.

When attending events at the Sheila and Eric Samson Pavilion (part of the Health Education Campus), recommended parking is the Cleveland Clinic P1 parking garage, entrance on 93rd St. across from Samson Pavilion. You can purchase parking passes at time of registration.
