Major: Chemical Engineering
Why did you choose this area of study?
The reason I chose chemical engineering out of all the engineering disciplines is that I am intrigued by chemistry and the mechanisms of chemical reactions.
What is your favorite thing about engineering?
My favorite thing about engineering would be the problem solving process. I consider myself being attentive to details, so I would like to fix the issues whenever I notice them.
Why did you choose CWRU?
The reputation of having numerous Nobel Prize winners made me believe this university is truly a research institution. Since I mentioned I would like to solve problems as an engineer, I truly see myself as part of the change.
What's your thing about CWRU, or favorite memory?
I think I should answer this question along with my extracurricular activities. My favorite CWRU memory would be getting involved in the Susi First-Year Engineering Experience. I worked as a teaching assistant for ENGR130, which is a project-based course for engineering freshmen. I remember how much inspiration I gained from my TAs when I took the class, so I strive to show the incoming first-year students about what engineering is. Plus, I also enjoyed bridging the communication between students and professors.
What advice/encouragement would you like to share with current students?
Find your true passion, but don't forget to take care of yourself.
What are your plans after graduation?
Working in the industry for a bit before returning to school for a master's degree.
