Program Overview
thinkSTEM is a two-week summer day camp that offers students entering 7th, 8th, and 9th grade the opportunity to learn about different types of engineering through hands-on activities and a rigorous curriculum that explores fundamental engineering concepts.
Campers study the basic principles of science and mathematics that allow us to create the devices, structures, processes, and systems that are so important to our daily lives.
Each daily session explores one of the major branches of engineering, including aerospace, biomedical, civil, environmental, mechanical, electrical, chemical, and computers and software.
Each session includes a hands-on project that will demonstrate the theory that has been presented, and learn how to use the software, tools, and equipment at think[box] while interacting with CWRU faculty and students, visiting university engineering labs, taking field trips, and exploring engineering fields.
