  - Dissertation Defense: Emily Hannon- Emily Hannon, PhD candidate in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, will present and defend their dissertation, "Assessing Heterogeneity of Response to Malaria in African Children", at 3 pm in Wood Building, room WG-86 
  - Clinical and Translational Science Collaborative's Science Cafe- PQHS Associate Professor Fredrick Schumacher will discuss working with community partners in a rural setting, including health departments, community activists, state and national offices, other academic centers, and the community. 
- Dissertation Presentation: Benjamin Mittman- At 3:30 pm in HEC room 113-32p, Predicting Venous Thromboembolism and Major Bleeding Risk with Structured and Unstructured Electronic Health Record Data: An Artificial Intelligence Approach 
  - Talk: "Innovating Geospatial Analytics for Next-Gen Bio Health Informatics"- Jayakrishnan Ajayakumar, PhD, is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Population & Quantitative Health Sciences. At 10 am in BRB 105 Ajayakumar will speak on the emerging role for geospatial data, technologies, and analytics in health and healthcare.
