CWRU Family Thanksgiving: A celebration of gratitude and connection
As the holiday season approaches, the 杏吧视频 community is once again invited to join together for the CWRU Family Thanksgiving.
Held on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 27, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Thwing Student Center Ballroom, this free event offers students who remain on campus the chance to share a meal in the spirit of gratitude, friendship and connection.
Now a growing tradition, CWRU Family Thanksgiving ensures that no student spends the holiday alone. Guests will enjoy a warm meal prepared by the , served by volunteers from across campus.
鈥淐WRU Family Thanksgiving is about community,鈥 said President Eric W. Kaler, who will attend alongside Provost Joy K. Ward and Vice President for Student Affairs Travis T. Apgar. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a chance for all of us to come together, share a meal, and reflect on what we鈥檙e thankful for.鈥
Students鈥攁s well as their partners and families鈥攁re welcome to attend; simply reserve a ticket for each attendee.
Together, we look forward to celebrating this meaningful tradition and the connections that make CWRU truly feel like family.
Volunteer spots available
To help make this celebration possible, the university is seeking volunteers to welcome guests, serve food and create a festive atmosphere. Friends and family are also encouraged to join in the spirit of service.
There are two volunteer shifts鈥11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 12:30 to 2 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to stay and enjoy the meal when they鈥檙e not on shift. The university is in need of 40 volunteers (20 for each shift), each of whom will receive a custom CWRU apron when they arrive. Volunteer spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
