October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Each year, University Technology ([U]Tech) takes this opportunity to raise awareness about digital security, and to empower all members of the 杏吧视频 community to protect personal and institutional data.
Beginning this month, [U]Tech will launch a Security Awareness Video of the Month Series鈥 鈥淪ecure in 60 Seconds鈥鈥攆or faculty, staff and students.
This month鈥檚 video is 鈥淭he Danger Finger,鈥 which features messaging encouraging everyone to remember to 鈥渢hink before you click.鈥 Individuals should hover their mouse or finger over embedded links to evaluate where the link actually goes before clicking it. Taking a couple seconds to verify the trustworthiness of a website can save you (and the university) from hours of hassle and lost dollars.
