Carey (they/she) has been with ÐÓ°ÉÊÓƵ since 2021, showcasing the transformative impact of a CWRU education and strengthening affinity across the university community through integrated marketing and communications campaigns. They serve as a connector between UMC and the College of Arts and Sciences, shaping strategy and collaborating across teams to share compelling stories that highlight the college’s research, scholarship and community engagement.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in viola performance from Rice University and master’s from Cleveland Institute of Music, Carey decided to pursue their passion for communications. They earned a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from CWRU’s Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2024. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Carey is happy to call Cleveland home, and enjoys crafting, spending time with friends and exploring the Metroparks with her dog (the cat prefers to stay at home).
