In the law school’s Legal Writing, Leadership, Experiential Education, Advocacy and Professionalism (“LLEAP”) program, practicing attorneys teach a simulation component in each course. Holly Marie Wilson is one of three such adjunct professors who leads simulations in Melissa Ghrist’s LLEAP 3 – Appellate Practice course.

Trevin Crider is the champion of this year’s �Ӱ���Ƶ School of Law Dean Dunmore Moot Court Competition! Twenty-nine students competed in the intramural appellate-advocacy tournament named for Thomas Dunmore, who served as the School of Law’s dean from 1910 to 1945.

Spring 2024 Immigration Law Clinic students have helped a variety of clients with a range of immigration matters including asylum, citizenship and green card applications. 

The Reproductive Rights Law Initiative (RRLI) at �Ӱ���Ƶ School of Law aims to preserve, protect and expand access to abortion and reproductive health care in Ohio and throughout the Midwest.

For the second year in a row, a CWRU law student was named a National Jurist Law Student of the Year. The publication announced this week that 3L Emily Worline was selected for the prestigious honor.

3Ls Elizabeth Broderick and Harper Fox are spending their final semester of law school working for the Residual Special Court for Sierra Leone (RSCSL) as their Capstone project. In the summer of 2023, Fox and 3L Jessica Chapman worked for the RSCSL.  The Chief Prosecutor of the Residual Special Court for Sierra Leone is James C.

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Second Chance Reentry Clinic went to trial in the Juvenile Division of the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas. Student interns Nathan Bly and Michaella Guyot-Polverini (pictured) defended one of the clinic’s clients who had been accused of violating a court order regarding child visitation. 

On March 15, 2024, Co-Dean Michael Scharf spoke at the Investiture for alum Philip Hadji (LAW ‘09), who was recently unanimously confirmed by the Senate as the newest judge of the United States Court of Federal Claims. 

In 2020, in an ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, �Ӱ���Ƶ School of Law began to pursue strategic partnerships with select Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
