The School of Law is proud to announce that Maya Simek, Director of the CWRU Human Trafficking Law Clinic (HTLC), has been selected to receive the Inspire Change award from the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking. On Sept. 23, the Center for Business Law welcomed Professor Saul Levmore as part of its 2024-2025 lecture series to present his thoughts on Sunk Costs and Exploding Offers. He is the William B. Graham Distinguished Service Professor at the University of Chicago Law School where he has previously served as dean.

On Tuesday, Sept. 17, the Center for Business Law hosted "Securities Law in the Supreme Court," a public lecture by Adam C. Pritchard and Robert B. Thompson about their book—A History of Securities Law in the Supreme Court—which was recently published by the Oxford University Press.

On Aug. 20, CWRU School of Law launched its inaugural fully online, part-time J.D. program, welcoming 32 diverse students from 17 states across the nation. All bring a wide range of professional experiences, making this cohort uniquely qualified and dynamic.

CWRU Law alum Duncan Gaswaga (LAW ‘13) was elected in July 2024 as a Judge of the African Court on Human and Peoples Rights.

In fall 2024, Lucas Katz (LAW ’24) joined the CWRU Law-Medicine Center as the new Cowen Fellow. 

Cassandra Roberston is one of several CWRU faculty members who received a $74,999 grant from the National Science Foundation. The money will be used to hold a conference on "Employing Public Interest Technologies to Promote Access in Education and Employment for People who have Physical Disabilities."
