Corey Whetzel (LAW '24) recently won the American Society for Pharmacy Law’s (ASPL) Larry M. Simonsmeier Writing Award. He was selected for his paper “No Way FDA, Let States Lead the Way on Expanding the Prescriptive Authority of Pharmacists,” which was published in Health Matrix: Journal of Law Medicine this spring.

A native of Sierra Leone who enrolled in CWRU School of Law “because of its strong international law programs and excellent reputation,” George Shadrack Kamanda graduated from our Law School in 2022 while simultaneously earning a Master’s Degree in Public International Law from Oxford University in the U.K.

Xiaorui Han’s journey into law began with a personal mission: protecting her father’s business rights. What started as a family endeavor quickly grew into a passion for legal analysis and logic, leading her to the pursuit of an LLM degree at �Ӱ���Ƶ.

Professor Sharona Hoffman published a new article in the Boston College Law Review entitled “Employers and the Privatization of Public Health.” The article focuses on the role of employers in public health and argues that they constitute increasingly important actors in the U.S. public health arena.

Every year, a half-dozen third year law students take advantage of CWRU’s unique concurrent degree program to obtain a foreign LLM at one of our prestigious foreign partner universities in London, Madrid and Paris. The year abroad double counts as the third year at CWRU, earning the student both degrees in just three years.
